An entire chalet in Adelboden for up to 10 guests. Panelled in wood from floor to roof, heated with wood, with a table that seats everyone.
Most chalets in Adelboden are either genuinely traditional or conveniently located. Chalet Legi is both.
The house is lined with wood throughout – walls, ceilings, floors. Not a country-style makeover, but the real thing. The heating runs on firewood, and you can feed it yourself if you like. At the same time, you are not stranded up a mountain: the bus stop is two minutes' walk away, and the guest card takes you to the village and the lifts for free. And despite the location you have your peace – the nearest house is 45 metres away.
And there is space. Four bedrooms, one bathroom and a living room where ten people can eat, play cards and argue about tomorrow's route – all at the same time. Made for families, groups of friends, and anyone who would rather share one roof than three hotel rooms.

Who we are
We are Ivan and Olivia Schwarz.
We both grew up in Adelboden, we are rooted here, and we know our mountain village inside out. Together with our children we live just a stone's throw from the chalet.
Hospitality is what we love. We enjoy meeting people from all over the world, we are happy to help with advice and practical tips – and we look forward to welcoming you.
Where the name comes from
«Legi» is the old field name of this spot – and in the Bernese dialect the word carries two meanings.
One is a ledge, a terrace in the slope. The other we like better: a Legi is an opening in a fence, a way through. Instead of a gate, one to three round poles lie horizontally across the path. You lift them out to pass, and lay them back behind you.
A way through, then, not a gate. The name was here long before the house, and it suits us.
